That’s why we offer solutions to streamline your search for details, simplifying the process and making it more efficient. With our guidance, you’ll be well-equipped to tackle all aspects of your certification journey.

Planning for 2025 AEP, Tip #1:

Schedule and complete all necessary certifications promptly. Currently, AHIP and several national carriers have released the dates when the new training sessions will be available for agents.

All up to date Carrier Certification links can be found in your A3 portal under Carriers and Products.

Initiating your certification process early not only brings peace of mind but also ensures you have adequate time to absorb the material, complete exams, and manage any unexpected issues.

Additionally, taking advantage of carrier discounts on training through their portals can lead to substantial cost savings!

Tip #2 Review the Training Modules:

  • First Pass: Go through the AHIP training modules thoroughly at least once.
  • Additional Reviews: If the content is new to you, consider reviewing it a second or even a third time.
  • Take Your Time: Don’t rush through the modules; let the information sink in.
  • Recertification: If you’re recertifying, you may only need to take parts four and five. However, it’s beneficial to review all parts to refresh your memory.

Tip #3 Don’t Skip the AHIP Practice Quizzes!

  • Frequent Practice: Engage with the practice quizzes throughout the training modules and retake them as needed.
  • Identify Patterns: Familiarize yourself with the types of questions that commonly appear, as they often recur in the final exam.
  • Take good notes that are organized and in an easily searchable format, such as a Word document.
  • Learn from Mistakes: If you miss a question, find the correct answer within the modules. Write down the question and the correct answer or note the topic that’s challenging you for further review.

Pro Tip: Past test-takers have noted that some practice quiz questions appear on the final exam, so being comfortable with these questions is crucial.

Tip #4- Inside scoop on the Test- psst,.. it’s an open book!

The AHIP test is a 50-question open book exam that must be completed within a two-hour time frame. To pass you must have a score of 90% or higher. You are allowed three attempts to pass. If you fail three times you must re-enroll and purchase another test. Be aware that some carriers may not accept three failures in a year and may prohibit you from selling their plans. You will need your National Producer Number (NPN) to log in to AHIP to access the training courses.

Once you pass the test you can download your certificate. You may be required to submit it to some of your carriers when you complete their certifications for AEP.

Key Take-Aways!

  • Early Preparation: Start your certification process early to ensure you have ample time to absorb the material and address any unexpected issues.
  • Diligent Review: Thoroughly review the training modules, and don’t rush through them. If needed, go through them multiple times.
  • Utilize Resources: Check your A3 portal for all the updated links and take advantage of available discounts on training.
  • Practice Quizzes: Take good notes and make use of the practice quizzes to familiarize yourself with the types of questions that may appear on the final exam.

By following these tips, you can navigate the certification process smoothly and efficiently, ultimately setting yourself up for success for the upcoming AEP!
